KofC Special Olympics

In 2002, St. Brendan’s Knights of Columbus Council committed to taking on a new project, a very rewarding weekend of fun with Special Athletes from all over the State of Ohio. This will be the Knights 6th year to support the more than 3,000 Special Athletes at the Ohio Special Olympics Summer Games.

We are in “Tent Town” an entertainment venue designed to entertain these very Special Athletes between their official competitive events. Tent Town is located due South of The Ohio State University Stadium.

Best directions: From Olentangy River Road turn left (East) on King Ave., turn left (North) on Neil Ave. Just before Neil Avenue is gated off, turn left (West) to the parking garage at the end of the street. This parking garage may be free on the weekend.

Family members and friends are welcome, Service Hours letters are available. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce our family and friends to very Special Athletes, face to face. We will find that Special Athletes are some of the nicest folks.

The Athletes have a great time, but you my friends will have a greater time. Last year we had about 40 Knights and that many family and friends assist us, we can use that kind of support again this year.
